Shopping For Catfish

No Dar I haven't seen the catfish anymore. I ask John if there is anywhere around here where I can buy some catfish to feed. He said how many do you want and I said or I guess about five. He laughed his head off and told me they sell them by the 100's. He looked up the number and I called but I got a recording. I didn't have the nerve to ask if they would sell me five. Yes Dar I do think Shelly Marie is an educated cow. She is as near human as a cow could be. We figured up she must be between 17 and 20 years old. He bought her at the cattle auction as a calf and she lost her first calf but has produced many calves in her life. I didn't particularly notice her until the year we had to burn a lot of pear (stickers off cactus) for the cows to eat. It was such a hot job we went out when it was still dark to avoid the heat and the rattlesnakes. One morning I broke off a piece of cactus and offered it to Shelly and she ate it right our of my hand. We have been friends since. When we drive near her she always stops grazing and looks at us. when I talk to her she listens. We never pass her that I don't at least wave to her. She is one special cow.

Yes Jack John did buy me a longhorn but her horns are not even as long as Shelly Marie's. I haven't taken a picture of her. You think I should tell him I think I'm going to sell her and see if he takes her back. lol

I love your new look on your blog Paula. I like to eat catfish if it is caught but I would not go out and buy catfish except as it sounds for pleasure, of watching them. Watch out, your help will eat them.

Ooh...Fried catfish sounds good! I use a mustard-based batter.

Hard for me to wrap my mind around feeding something that I usually let feed me.

Five Catfish!!!!! Catching that many is a good thing, but buying them??

Surely you jest!

I think the turtles have secretly disposed of the catfish. Maybe they walked away. I hear we have walking catfish in Flroida, maybe you have (had) some. LOL Have a great day!!!
