Sooo Cute

Just had to come back here to tell this. We had to go back to the ranch late today to check on the haying. The front field is finished and the large round bales are being hauled to the fenced hay yard so the cattle can't get to it until they need it this winter when the green grass is all gone. The back field is cut but not raked and baled yet but this is not what was sooo cute. Remember the big metal trough the renters ask to use for a swimming pool? Well it seems they have turned it over to the animals. They are very large people so I'm thinking they may have trouble getting in or maybe when all six of them get in the water all goes out. Have no idea but we noticed animals bobbing up and down so John stopped the truck and we walked over to the fence and all the geese and all the ducks were having a ball diving to the bottom and coming back up. The renter girls went into the shed and brought the baby ducks and put them into the water too. I think they all thought they had died and gone to heaven. They can't let them go down to the stock tank with the turtles and catfish because if they couldn't catch them the coyotes would eat them.

Also turtles gobble up the baby ducks. I saw that happen once in a pond close to us. Glad that are keeping them safe. Helen

Where there is water, they will come, lol. I think if I were big or small and saw a critter in the pool -- I'd let them have at it, LOL

Oh, I love to see how happy ducks are when they find somewhere to swim and dive. My brother-in-law built a home in his yard for mallard ducks and three baby ducks who hatched there would not fly away very far but would always circle around and come back to their 'home'.

I want to enjoy my life the way ducks enjoy theirs.

Picture! Where's the pictures...lol. Nothing more heart warming than seeing baby ducks and big ducks and geese having a splash down. Kinda funny about the water tank... we have an old rubbermaid stock tank that my kids used for a pool for years and even big old me and my hubby sat in it a few times. Now it's the 'black lagoon' ~ the so called pond at the bottom of my waterfalls in my yard.
