Lets Frac That Oil Well

Its going to be a short version, too much for me to remember but I promised. There are two ways to frac an oil well. They can use oil or water. Water is easier and cheaper but oil does a better job. They order sand in amounts of 60,000 to 100,000 pounds and wash the dirt out of it. Not sure how they do that. They pressure the sand and water or oil into the formation and it makes little tunnels so the oil can come out to where the pump is set. It takes about four or five hours to do a well and there may be three or four trucks and crews. Sorry if this doesn't make sense. The men who do this job are frac techs. We have a large bill board here in our town advertising for men to apply for this job. They have an engineer on duty to tell them what to do.

When you apply, you can come back and tell us what is required. Sherry may want a new job. Taking care of me is becoming a hassle. hahahahahah!

I am just glad they are getting oil, I hope it is millions and millions of barrels. and it is not exported!!!!!
The best to you!

Thanks for an education on oil drilling. That
is very interesting. I guess Sherry and I
could apply for the job but we would have
to move to Texas away from our friends. I guess
I will stay retired back in NC.

Well frac away and keep it in the good old USA! I wish I had an oil well to frac. Do you have one??? Where we pig hunted a few years back by the town of Gorman, TX there were oil wells all over that area. The guy that owns them owns the property that we hunted on. Just let me say this ... if I had his money I'd be using mine for toilet paper. You'd never know this guy was so loaded ~ he lives like Jed Clampet BEFORE he moved to Californy...lol

Mel: I too wish I had an oil well to frac. John doesn't either so all we will get is higher taxes on our houses in town. He has at one time owned land but came to the conclusion leasing was the way to go. He has cut way down on land and cattle

I wonder if any little kids grow up thinking "I want to be a frac tech"...

lol @ Toon's comment. I would say some little kids here in south Texas may think they want to be a frac tech.
