Tommy the turkey stood in his pen thinking about his plight. He could almost feel the farmer's family taking the first bite.
He knew Thanksgiving was coming, he didn't know what to do. Tommy thought and thought, but couldn't come up with a clue.
Turkey day they call it, why couldn't it be fish, that seemed to him to be a more perfect dish?
He could just picture a pig on a platter on the table. Tommy wanted to change this tradition, if only he was able.
Tommy decided to have a talk with the farmer and his wife. He thought I'll just gobble gobble and plead for my life.
So come Thanksgiving morning he saw them drive away. Tommy sighed oh what luck, a wonderful Thanksgiving day.
