Almost Time For New Calendars

I like to have a calendar in every room except the living room. I like medium to large calendars with pretty pictures and white space around the number to write notes and appointments. This year I have aready had enough calendars for a couple of weeks and I didn't have to buy any. For about two years free calendars were hard to come by around here so I bought one or two for the first time in my life. I even paid $5.00 for a couple of them. John would faint if he knew that but they were big with pictures I liked. For this computer room I have a pretty one with a dark background and a different beautiful flower for each month. Another has flowers but not with the dark background. One with a beautiful bird for each month. The usual Norman Rockwell prints from Saturday Evening Post and western art from the feed store. Wow! That is the exact number of calendars I need. Good for the businesses who give out free calendars. They won't get new business from us because we already trade with them but we appreciate them. At least one thing has stayed the same. Good luck everyone in 2011.

Our bank's calendar is always pretty good and the pictures are from local photographers.

Picture calendars are always interesting. As a child I used to love flipping the months to see next month's pictures. Garages and parts places used to give out the ones with cars I loved them.

HOWEVER. the new calendar incidates we just passed another milestone!!!!

Love from NC where we have no HO WATER, the line to the hot water heater has evidently frozen. We wait patiently for it to thaw.

Enjoy the calendars!

I too love a nice picture calendar with lots of space around the date for jotting down appointments. I remember when we used to get calendars and a big box of chocolates from some of the businesses, then it just went to calendars, then these itty bitty little calendars the size of a business card (which I find useless, even in my purse because they just fall apart). LOL ~ I liked Jacks response about a new calendar indicates we passed another milestone!
Enjoy your calendars and the many milestones they represent!

Oooh. You live near San Antonio? It's truly one of my favorite cities. I was stationed at Ft. Sam Houston.

I have been buying horse calenders the last two years, but I got carried away with calenders there for a while not only buying myself several, but buying everyone in the family one! My daughter gave me a photo calendar two years, but said it was too much work and quit. I really missed those. I am interested in calender stories!
