Upon This Day Noel Was Born

No wonder John thought it might be twins. Shelly Marie had a very large bull calf. John went to check on the situation while I went to meet my daughters in San Antonio. As soon as I got home we went back out to feed her cubes and make sure the calf is nursing. We could tell by the markings on the ground Shelly had some trouble. She was still tired this afternoon and was lying on the ground but she got up knowing the cubes were likely to follow our entry into the pens. It is easy to take care of Shelly with her tame personality. She never minds us being near her new baby unlike some cows who get mean when they have a new addition. Noel has long legs and long body and is black and white. It wasn't afraid of us at all. I guess like mother, like daughter. John is talking of keeping Noel for a bull to his herd. Too soon to tell. Welcome to the world Noel!

Oh, wouldn't it be wonderful if John kept Noel for a bull? Please John, do it!
