We Were Legal

Wow! Health care has become big business and we've been missing out. First that had put the wrong town on the invitation so good thing we started out early. As we walked in they herded us over to the christmas tree and took our picture. Then we got in line for a turkey dinner with all the trimmings along with iced tea and pie. A lot of the seats were already taken with people eating so we went over near the stage where there was a DJ playing music and we sat next to a nice lady. In a few minutes a couple came in and sat next to us. They were from another town near where we buy cattle feed. The food was good. We could see most of the people were patients of the clinic and the music catered to them as in mexican polkas but that was okay as I got to dance one of my favorite line dances boot scootin'. We danced a couple of two steps and we didn't fall down, we still got it, right we wish. During the three hours the drew ticket numbers for door prizes and there was a lot of them. A lot of beautiful poinsettias and John won one of those. The other gifts were in gift bags so I don't know what they were. When they gave credit to the doctors John's doctor is involved with the health organization so we were there legal and have been missing out. Now we know. It was fun and the sun was shinning when we came out so we could find our way home.

Anyway, yep health care is the money making thing nowaways and it is going to get more and more so.

Glad you guys got home during the day light. Not that driving after dark is a problem with you young folk!

Great report on a health care function. We get them all the time in our big complex, but they don't sound nearly as much fun as yours especially the boot scootin' boogie line dance. I was shocked when you said you tried that! I trust you not to try more didoes on the dance floor than you think you can handle without falling down. And the food isn't as good either.

When are you going to post the video? lol, I'm glad you had a good time. My Sister-in-law, wanted my daughter to tape my snow dance...I like my camcorder too much to do that...ha.
Have a great week, Sheila

Paula, my dear friend, You can do what I have never learned, but have always wanted to ---boot Scoot...I'm afraid I may have 2 left feet. So glad you had a good time. Health care is scary these days...we actually do not know what we are going to do in that dept.
Mom hates driving at dusk and night, so tomorrow I will be doing the driving to the docs. It's an hour each way and we know it will be late when we get back...it's 11 degrees with a wind chill of 0 degrees tonight...brrr

I'm glad the Dr's were close in case something happened to you while you were doing the "boot Scottin". Love dancing and we did win a "twisting contest" some years back. LOL
