It's So Hot In South Texas That You Could-----

Fry an egg on the sidewalk? You've heard the joke it's so dry the fireplugs are looking for the dogs? Well let me tell you it's so hot and dry in south Texas the water moccasin snakes are moving inside when the stock tanks are going dry. We heard about a lady we know who lives in the country kept finding water on her bathroom floor and didn't know where it was coming from. One day recently she took the lid off the water tank of her toilet and two water moccasins had taken up residence.

That is another good one for your list of "No where but in South Texas", really!
Seriously, even the snakes are suffering for relief and I do hope you all get some soon.

I don't think I would care for that situation...at all. Praying that the drought breaks soon.

Surely you do not think it is hotter in Texas than it is Phoenix, Arizona at this moment. But we do not have any water moccasins trying to live with us. But we have some human rattlesnakes we try to avoid. I am going to start praying for rain for you. I think you need it badly, a bunch of you down there in Texas.

We're under the same heat wave here in KC. It doesn't look like there's any end in sight. :(
