Are Wild Hogs Into History Now?

I lived near this San Antonio mission and one other when I lived in San Antonio. There are three others more on the outskirts but still in the city limits. Now we hear on the news the wild hogs have moved in to one of the missions. Well not in to but into the yard and doing enough damage that they are trapping them. When I hear they are window shopping in downtown San Antonio I'm heading for the hills.

Paula, you are so funny...lol. I think they are breaking into history...haa.

We visited an Alamo Mission there many moons ago. Looks like this place, not sure.

DD the Alamo is downtown and the missions are on the south side. This one is on Mission road and I lived one block from Mission road and then the mission was down toward town. Maybe we passed on the street. lol

I've had some posts in the past re wild hogs on our land, and the statistics on their breeding will blow your mind! They recently moved into the wealthiest section of Nacogdoches (along a creek, which is what they love because of the moisture) and have churned up landscaping of some of the city's most prominent citizens. It is legal to kill them but not within the city limits.

The SA missions are some of my favorite places...hate to hear they're goin' to the hogs.

I'd run too!

Yes Kathy I know about those hogs and how fast and furious they can breed. John and I lived at the ranch for 14 months and trapped them and sold them.

hahahahahahaha heading for the hills. All right. We have visited several of the missions, and I hate to think of the damage the hogs can do to the area.
As always, sending love from over in Florida.

I've read that wild hogs are gaining a foothold in parts of Missouri. Thank goodness I haven't heard about any of them nearby. When they do, I'm going to take up hunting. Hogs can be destructive!

I have never heard of a wild hog in our part of Ne. Hope they don't find us. I would be like you, run for the hills.

Yikes ... Wild Hogs moving in?!? Sound like it's time for someone to clear them off and bring home the bacon.
Best,
Marty

The new season of "Top Chef" is set in San Antonio and they are really promoting the city a lot.
