Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

My Seat Has Been Taken
My seat in the work truck that is. John's sister and brother-in-law are visiting from Alaska. Trying to soak up some sun and get away from the cold. They will be staying from fourteen to eighteen days and I'm exhausted already. The brother-in-law has taken my place to the ranch and buying feed or whatever. The sister has had surgery recently so I'm kind of the sitter for her. They tell me Pal had a beautiful black bull calf with a white tippy tale. John ran a rattlesnake out of it's den with the hot blazing pear burner and killed it with the heat. See ya when I can have time to read a blog here and there or write. I'm missing my friends here already.

Enjoy your company, we'll miss you but we'll be waiting when you get time to post. Take care, Sheila
enjoy the visits, though! :) it can be exhausting, i know!
I know you will enjoy having them for a while just don't over do and make yourself sick. Take care and we will be here when you get the chance to post.Jean
Enjoy things there until you get your seat back. That story of the rattler reminds me of walking thru a controlled burn area here in Florida. There was a Rattler cooked well done on a limb. As we observed a lady walked up and commented "How unthoughtful and terrible it was to burn the snake, the rangers should clear the area before burning!" I am sure she could see the confused look on my face. I was reminded of Jerry Clower and a Rattlesnake round up in Texas. someone was ther to observe how the Rattles were killed, to keep it humane. Jerry said, "How do you kill a Ratlesnake WROnG!"
Love from Florida.
My female insight is trying to tell me that you may not be 100% pleased that your seat has been taken...lol. I hope you get your seat back soon and let us know what you find out there on the range.
Don't like snakes glad John killed it. I know
how you feel that is a long visit. Company is
good but for short visits. I sure you will
handle it OK you are a trooper.

My sympathy to you. That is a long time for someone to visit. I felt the same about all of you when my blog was down for a few days,. It is snowing very hard here but not cold but it is going to get that way. Take care.
Good luck with the company, Paula...I know how you feel, I'm too old to appreciate changes in my routine...even temporary ones.
I think it should always be your seat~no matter what. I'm not seeing you as a "sitter," & John owes ya ;o.
Hmmm. I was just thinking...maybe now would be a good time to go visit some grandchildren, or go out dancing, or visit a different state, or ;o..
Just dropping in to check on you. Hope you are enjoying your guest, somewhat.
Sometimes it just sucks when our routine is broke.
