Old Man Winter Has Reared His Ugly Head

I can't believe I said that after the summer we suffered. Of course our central heat went out but we are surviving with three electric heaters. We took our company to Medina Lake in the hill country to see how low the lake has become since the drought. It is very low and will probably take two rainy years to fill again. So many summer homes for sale there . Now would be the time to buy and wait for the rain. We were amazed at the amount of deer in people's front yard and in the middle of the day. We had a nice lunch in Castroville, Texas. I think we were all high on children's cough medicine last night and slept good. Took our bottles with us and had to take a slug every four hours except the male counterpart of the couple because he did the driving. I finally decided I can't keep my house clean and my toaster pointing the way I like it. I wonder if someone read my blog, the last roll is hanging over the way it should. Might as well just go along for the ride I guess.

A house on the lake sounds nice, even if the water is low. I'm with you they should buy now and wait for rain. I LOVE deer. Unfortunately they eat everything in sight. I had to smile about your cough medicine taking. I've been swigging the stuff ever since Thanksgiving. Life is short, don't sweat the small stuff. Take care.

It's sad to see the lakes and ponds so low...but kinda funny to see a pier built out to dry land. Someone that didn't know the situation would wonder why anyone would build a pier so far from the water. Sounds like you've kinda made peace with your intruders! Hope you all feel better soon!

I sure hate it for the lake. A few years ago that happened at home but the lake is back to normal now.
And YEAH, may as well try to enjoy the ride.
(Glad the toilet paper comes over the top the way it should!)
Love ay

I hope everyone soon gets rid of those colds. It's a cold day here today. Sunny but cold. Hopefully you will soon have the house back in shape. Helen

I got up with a drippy nose and a cold. Our snow has almost stopped. However it could get heavy again. I am already sick of snow.

Some people just don't care and put the roll on whichever way it happens to be. (My husband for one) But for me it has to be over.
