We Lucked Out

Well it was stormin' last night but we are lucky we didn't get the tornado, hail, or high wind. San Antonio didn't fare quite so well. Some fires from lightening strikes. Rescues of people who insist on driving through water on the streets and wind damage in places. We couldn't wait to drive out to the ranch to see how much it rained as some time we get a good one here in town and none out there. Yep it was too wet to drive past the house. Everything looked greener already. We'll have to wait a little longer to found out which cow the new baby belongs to. It makes five new ones since the New Year. We had to make a stop on the way home as we spotted a down fence where someone had plowed through last night on property belonging to the owner of the cattle auction. It wasn't completely down but enough that a calf could get out. Hopefully he can get that fixed today. One less big black wild hog was hit and dead on the side of the road. Those things are hard to see in the dark of night and maybe when it was raining hard too. They predicted cloudy and more rain today but as of now the sun is shining bright.

I'm glad you're safe, and I'm delighted that you got rain. All we got was more strong wind.

We're having a dry winter so far. Hope that doesn't mean a dry spring and summer!

Glad you guys dodged the bullet. I know the water is welcome.

Those hogs always amaze me. Our friends said trappers got 18 of them near Their camp in the city of Melbourne. I thought of you speaking of the hogs going to college out there. They are also going to the city!!! Always a good read!!!
