Bathroom Art

I won't mention how John bought reading glasses at the Dollar store after testing, reading with them and taking them home to decide he can't read with them. Guess who gets to take them back and exchange them? Does anyone else get an idea for an entry from someone else when they didn't have an idea in their head? Mosie (Donna at "Just Me") had a clever entry about art. I'm not copying her, it just reminded me of something about art from a very long time ago. When my kids were still at home I ran across a piece of art that I really liked. I wanted to hang it in my bathroom. The art was framed with a blue frame and my bathroom was decorated in blue and white. It was in my price range and I thought the subject would go well in the bathroom. Everytime I went to this particular store I would end up in the department where this art was and I was tempted to buy it. So why didn't I buy it? My Mama would have had a fit. In those days you didn't cross your Mama even though you were married, had kids, and your own house. The pretty piece of art was of a naked young lady standing in a field of wild flowers. It was done in very good taste and I liked it so much buttt you know how Mamas are. Now you may say why don't you buy it now? I would if I could, but the store is no longer in business and besides it wouldn't match  my bathrooms now. One is mauve and seashells and the other is light green and ivy and funny pictures of outhouses. For John's bathroom Leah my daughter bought me all tractor stuff, even little tractor clips for the shower curtain. I guess if I could fine a picture of a naked girl in good taste riding on a tractor. No I guess not. I know my Mama wouldn't like that either.

Your mama and my mama must have had the same training...If I'd had a million dollar painting, if it had any nudity in it, it would have had to stay in the attic!

Paula, TexWisGirl took the cake!

So funny...but you did remind me of the same exact thing. In one of my bathrooms, I have a naked lady with her hair hanging over to cover her in places. I have been somewhat timid about the picture, but it is an antique in good taste, so be it!

If you get an idea from Garnett or Jimmy don't.... just sayin! hahahaha

Yeah, for some reason we did not put the fear into our youngsters, they don't mind doihng their thing. That is good (I GUESS!!!!) LOL
Like the entry, In our little toilet I have two pictures of an outhouse In Nebraska.
