Yep There Is A Dry Land Turtle In This Picture

We're getting back to being real farmers and ranchers. We got up at six to head west. My turtles   eat no matter what time of day I feed them. I haven't seen Scraggley Shell lately but Floor Tile was there with so much muck on it's back I couldn't see his/her pretty shell. The high light of my day was seeing a young dry land turtle. It was right in the middle of the little lane to the east property. Of course I had to have John stop so I could get out to talk to it. It didn't answer back but it did poke it's head half way out of the shell and seemed to be listening to me. This is the second one we've seen in the last few months so I'm glad they are still around and surviving. It would make my day to see a jack rabbit on the ranch again. The renters of the farm house aren't happy with John making them keep the gate closed because they run in and out to town several times a day. John already has someone who wants to rent it and says they will clean it. We'll see how that works out.

Good LUCK with the renters. I LOVE turtles. They'd always happen upon our yard and I'd want to keep them when I was a kid. ENJOY yours. take care.
