Susie's Secret

You've heard the expression what goes up must come down. John and I are saying we hope what goes in will come out. We have lived in this house for years and never knew there was a hole under the cabinet. I have even cleaned the floor a few times on my hands and knees and didn't see it. The builder must have just not finished a little piece of wood under the cabinet. Susie has found the hole and sometime when one of us opens the front door she runs in and heads to the kitchen. She is skinny right now and she can slink herself up and go into that hole. If John fusses for her to come out she won't, so I have to go talk baby talk to her and she comes right out. Susie is very old and if she went in there to die (heaven forbid) it may be tear the cabinet down time to get her out. I think it would be next to impossible to get her out.

what an odd place for her to choose to go! at first i was thinking she was hunting mice, but sounds like she just 'holes up'. :)

Ah ha, I can see the concern. Once, living in the woods in an old house i had a BIG RAT, made fun of allthe traps. one day I decided to still hunt. I put a stick in the BIG hole. After about an hour it wiggled and i empted the rifle into the hole.

THEN I ASKED MY SMART SELF, HOW YOU GONNA GET HIM OUT!!!!

So I can see your concern. Mechanical fingers and a long screw driver got him out. But a Cat? Yep I know you would be concerned!
Best of luck! PLUG the hole whilst she be out!

She's a pretty kitty. I bet she loves being so hidden. Hopefully, that will not be her final resting place!

This is a dumb question - can you plug up the hole? I am so sorry she is a cutie pie.

We already have the hole plugged up John's way. A quart bottle on the floor in front of the hole. lol My way when I have time is cut a piece of cardboard and tape it over the hole since it can't be seen unless you lay on the floor and look under the cabinet where it overlaps.
