This Old Boat

John gives this boat to every tenant that rents the farm house so far not one of them have taken it with them when they leave. Several renters back the family left it without a boat trailer near the back of the house. The next renter was a young couple and they drug it to the stock tank without a trailer. They played around with it and ended up sticking his nice truck in the tank and had to get someone to pull him out. The last renters tore it up somewhat so it doesn't look as good as it did. Now John has given it to the young man who just graduated from high school. His Mom said he is excited about it and says they can fix it up. There goes my rain gauge. When the boat is in the water I know it rained a lot. When it gets dry the boat is on dry land.

It's nice to know he's EXCITED about the boat. That usually means he'll take good care of it???? guess you'll have to find another rain gauge??? LOL take care.

Oh I do hope the young man commits to fixing it up. That would be great! I know how creative you can be and I'm sure you'll come up with a new, clever rain gauge. :)

I think it has been put to better purpose than to be used as a rain gauge. Finally, it will get some good action. I first started boating as a teen & it has been a life-long joy for me. ~Mary
