At What Age Does A Lizard Turn Green?

When I went in to bed tonight there was a tiny white Geico  on the wall above the window with the a/c unit in it. While I'm studying the situation as to how I'm going to transport it off the wall,  down the hall, and out the door without hurting it or killing it, it runs to hide in the curtain or the blind. Off to the kitchen I go for a broom and dust pan. This isn't my first rodeo with a lizard in the house. I gently prod the curtain and blind without a sign of the sly little creature. Do I turn off the a/c in hopes it will crawl into the unit and go outside the way it probably came in? Do I turn it on high so it will be so cold it will stay wrapped in the curtain to stay warm until morning? I must sleep with the lamp on just in case it decides to jump onto my bed. I do want to know it is the little baby Geico and not a scorpion. Maybe I could offer it a contract with an insurance company when it grows up and turns green.

Oh my lord....I would never have slept a wink in this world!

BTW, I love your header picture. There was a time I would have wanted to put it on canvas in oils.

Hahahahahaha. Reminds me of Cuba, Sherry had to get used to seeing them on the ceiling and walls.
But of course it is good to know it is not a Scorpion, and just a rep trying to sell you insurance!!!

Good one.

Hope your little friend is gone now. When we lived in Texas we had a lot that were smashed on top of the back door...unintentionally. Luckily, if one got in the house I had Cori the lizard whisperer to catch it and put it back outside...ha. Take care, Sheila
