The Dancing Farmer

After going to a doctor appointment in San Antonio today we went to Poth to buy cattle feed. I waited in the truck with instructions from me to be sure to get one or two of thier western calendars for next year. When John came back he was laughing about a heavy set Polish farmer inside. John said he was dancing and singing in Polish. Then he told everyone since people were collecting thier checks from the oil boom no one cares if it rains or not. In this area no matter where you went people were always talking about rain or lack of rain whatever the case may be at the time. Now people complain about the traffic and the trucks tearing up the streets and highways and the crowds at every cafe at lunch time. Even the doctor in San Antonio ask us if we have an oil well in our back yard now. We set him straight on that, and sure wish we did.

I really wish we'd get rain and an oil boom here in West TX. If we did, I'd be dancing and singing like the Polish farmer.

Yeah, you did find something to write about. You always come up with something. Yeah, I'll bet you do wish you had one of those big dipping things in the back yard. Me too, but I would have to haul it around when we moved. hahaha

Imma laughing thinking about a Fat Farmer.
(Wishes don't cost a thing!!)

Love from this side of the Gulf.

I like it better when the instructions are coming from you rather than to you. ~Mary

I would have been happy just to win the lottery. Have a great weekend, Sheila

I won $200 dollars worth of groceries once at the Piggly Wiggly opener...that store is long gone. Back then it was 10 bags of groceries, 2 turkeys and a duck.
I would rather have my health than an oil well, but then maybe I could afford a doctor...
I think I will just dance, but can't speak a lick of Polish.
Blessings

We need rain but I hate to think of getting it in the form of snow. You mean that you can still get free calenders???? No one does here any more.
