Old Rock Church

For the people who wanted to see a picture of the little country historical church we attend. This is an old picture with the old structure built to the left. It looks much better now with the roof and rock meeting the old building. You can barely see the restrooms on the right and that is what they want to improve next when they can come to an agreement with the Historical Society. Sunday there were only seven people there including the minister and his wife and a visitor. As we all walked out of the social hall part into the church there was a stranger standing by the double doors looking like he didn't know what to do. He wasn't driving a car, had a long white beard, a top that you might associate with Japan, jeans that were a little dirty and holey. So what? I think, people pay good money for jeans with holes now days and this is chruch we have no business judging. It turns out he had met a younger man who belongs to this church and invited him and told him he would give him a ride home. Evidently the young man didn't think he was going to take him up on the invitation so he wasn't at church so John and I volunteered to take him to the ranch where he is staying. We had an interesting visit as we drove and found he has missioned in China. We got to see a country road down a lane we would have not ever gone down. It will be interesting to see if he makes a return visit. He didn't commit himself but I hope he felt welcome.

We always love to visit here. Glad you took us back to the church. The guy was in the right place with HOLY pants on. Okay you didn't say that, I just had to add it.
But it was nice of you guys to drive him home and also to get the treat of a new road.

Paula, we are going to be in the same boat as far as water. It was so dry and now the snow is just not enough. How nice of you to make the man feel welcome.
