Wishing Well Suspicion

After lunch we didn't have any thing we had to do, nothing we wanted to do. Somethings we should do, but didn't want to do sooo what did we do? We went for a ride on some country roads, of course. Quite often we see a wishing well in some one's yard but in a yard today we saw two wishing wells. Wishing wells make me wonder since I read a book which I don't remember the title, but I sure remember what happened. This was supposed to be a true story from somewhere here in Texas. A lady,  (using the word losely) convinced her husband to build her a wishing well in the yard. After it was finished she killed him and convinced her daughter to help her drag his body outside and hoist it into the wishing well. Then she planted beautiful flowers on top of him. If I remember correctly she planted another husband in the back yard and had a storage shed built on top which the new husband couldn't understand why she wanted that shed in that particuliar spot since it wasn't the most handy area. I wish I could remember more particulars and the title but I can't forget the wishing well part and everytime I see a wishing well I think of this book. When I saw two wishing wells in a front yard it made me go hummm.

I said a day or so ago you do have an interesting life. Funny about the wishing wells. I have a wishing well only it is used to plant flowers and to close to the house, for dead bodys. They would smell.

That's a fascinatig story, but also a very frightening one. It puts a whole new perspective on wishing wells.....

Okay Cowgirl, don't be giving the ladies (loosely) any ideas. I'd be worried about a couple of the ladies on the Blog area. hahahaha
Always get a kick out of the tales from the country roads.

Mercy, what a fright! we used to have a well, but it wasn't for wishin'. It was filled with dirt when we moved in and we used it for a firepit. Your story creeps me out cuz that well was also in an unusual place. Glad it's no longer around. Geeeez. Hope to get some sleep tonight. You sure can spin a story, girl. Scary part was when you said it was supposed to be a true TX tale.

Never heard about that...must be in south Texas...the heat gets to people down there....makes them do crazy things. I'll bet your hubby doesn't want a wishing well any time soon!
