Is The Grass Really Greener On The Other Side?
So much for relaxing and going to bed early. We're awake now. The second time the sheriff's department called to say do you have a black bull on Hwy 97? First time it was one of the young bulls, to night it was the big black bull who was born on this place and never been off the place. Both times by the time we drove out the renter had them back in or the sheriff's car had scared them with driving up and down the bar ditch sounding their siren. They will put them in any property to get them off the highway. It was light enough that we spotted some bad fencing so John honked the horn to get all the cows to follow the truck away from that area and shut the gates so they can't go back there until John and his highschool compadre does the fence mending. Guess they think the grass is greener on the other side. After the fence is mended and if any of them keep getting out John will sell the guilty one at auction. He won't put up with it. It's too dangerous for people driving and dangerous for the bull or cow that is getting out. Seems I read in the paper if they give you a call about a cow out for the third time there is a stiff fine. If I'm correct about that John wouldn't like that either.

Oh dear sorry about that Paula,but I'm afraid I don't think I would like to be up against one of those bulls.I hope you can keep them penned, by mending the fence.I don't like the thoughts of you getting a heavy fine.Like you say,nor would John. Have a great day love.Take Care God Bless Kath xx
I hear John regarding cows and bulls getting out. We had one cow that constantly jumped the fence, I caught her one day doing it. Needless to say she went to market the next week. I can't stand it when the cows get out and they're getting fed enough, there is no reason for that...Good luck with the fence fix'in.
If bulls want to get out badly enough, it's hard to stop them. Especially if there is a cow on the other side who is looking for a date.
Naughty bull! Glad it ended safely and hope that's the end of it.
Honey your not going to believe this but I have had you on my mind all day and just now I thought I need to visit Paula and see if she is okay.

Anyway about your bulls and cows. Sorry this is happening to you. It is a highly dangerous thing to happen and I know you will be glad when they get this problem taken care of.
Thank goodness the cows have been long gone from this place for a while now but sometimes I wake to the cows or horses from the ranch next door to me on this property. We have no cattle guards so I panic trying to get them back to the other ranch.
Now I have to catch up with you while I am lucky enough to be visiting.
I like your back ground. I used this one once on my temptation site and have always liked it.

The grass is generally greener on the other side until you have spent some time there, then you look back to the Other side, which was the first side in the first place ;O. Sometimes most of life is fence mending. ~Mary
