Bloggin' Folks Are The Best

John and I had the pleasure of meeting Jack, Sherry, and their two sons from Jack's blog "Shipslog". They are as personable and good lookin' in person as they are in photos. I don't know how long I have known them, but I know it all started back in AOL Journals and transferred smoothly over to Blogspot. It was a short visit, but I'm sure they have lots of road to cover. Today seemed to be one of the hottest days we have had so far. I wish we could have given them the tour to meet the cows and trutles, but I'm never sure how much of this heat people can take or if others would be interested in turtles and cows and a big chance of stepping in a cow patty. It was so good of them to take the time to come out to Pleasanton just to meet us. We really aren't a touristy town and we're not the hostess type but we're not far from San Antonio and other more interesting towns so hope they enjoy their whole visit and hope we can keep being blogging friends for many years to come.

It was so good to meet John. BUT a special joy and treat to see, meet and hug the author of Paula's country tales. Thanks for autographing OUR book. Your poems have brought pleasure to lots of folks.
We did not want to take up your time this time, but next time we want to treat dinner. We have been looking forward to that for a long time. YOU are pretty like a cowgirl should be.
Please tell John we did enjoy the visit so much.
Love and hugs and wishing you guys a great summer.

I've met a few bloggers in person through the years and I was never disappointed. I've always felt that bloggers are very special people.

We all take the time to write about our lives and feelings and we have the courage to share it with others. It's a special bond.

How wonderful! I know Slim and I sure did enjoy meeting with Jack and Sherry. Aren't they just the sweetest couple out there :) Maybe someday our paths may cross.

It is sort of obvious to me that you'd get along with Jack & Sherry well. After reading both blogs for so many years~the 3 of you seem to have very sim. core values & kindheartedness.~Mary
