Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

This 'N That
John's grandson and great grandson with matching outfits for Father's Day. We don't have to go to the country to see wildlife now. We have a possum visiting us in our yard at night. Also we saw deer eating right here in town yesterday. After a drive through the grounds of the country club on a street on the edge of town we saw where a house had a deer feeder in the back yard. Later when we made another run by, there were a number of deer eating. The grass is very green after our nice rains but it is heating up to be a hot summer. The country club area has the very large oak trees which our town is known for, very pretty to drive through since there are no keep out signs. John and I have been "tanking up" on cornbread. Did your Mama ever use that expression? It means eating a lot of something. I found a new recipe for cornbread that has lots of butter and canned whole kernel corn in it. It's heavy and good.

'tanking up' is exactly what i'd do on that bread! :)
laughing at the 2 in matching outfits. really cute!
Add some peppers if you like 'hot', and onion, and top with cheese and you have another cornbread to tank up on! lol Love the outfits.
They are so cute in their matching outfits!!
I love cornbread! Never heard the expression "tanking up" before but I like ti! :)
I LOVE that expression, "tanking up". Too cute for words that little one matching his papa.
I like you header photo and I really like those matching outfits! So funny!
And by the way, I love cornbread.
The corn bread sounds great.
The wild life is coming into a lot of towns now. I'm not crazy about the 'possom though. DO NOT start feeding that critter. HA!
It is nice to ride around and observe, though!
((HUGS))
PS: The Grandson and his son make la mighty fine picture! Neat looking fellows.
The matching outfits are adorable - and I have heard of tanking, but it wasn't used by my mom! lol sandie
Handsome son and adorable that the 2 have matching shirts. I don't like cornbread. I seldom say that because people look at me like I have 2 heads. Another thing I don't like are possum. They are the ugliest animal. One came right down from the fence into our yard and we were out there. Spunky went after it and it played possum and Spunky ran smack into it and it did not move, Spunky just stood and looked at it and then out his paw on it. It still didn't move. I can't remember how it got out of the yard.
What a darling picture! I have seen mom's and daughters dressed a like but never son and father. I love it. Too cute!
Girlfriend you have me wanting some of your cornbread. This is the second time in two weeks that I have been hungry for cornbread. I guess I may have to forget this trying to shed some pounds and tank up on cornbread.
Have not heard that but like it.
Hope you are well.
Love
Maggie
