What Has Your Excitement Been So Far Today?

Can you see the buzzards on the fence post? It doesn't take much to excite John and I. We even talked about that today and laughed at ourselves for putting on the brakes on a country road and backing up to see what the buzzards were dining on. It had been a large animal and about all that was left was the ribs. Had to have been a deer, large wild hog, or a cow. Probably a deer on this little narrow country road we have found to take an enjoyable short cut home. We had been to the cowboy's house many times to hire him to work cattle and haul them to market. We had never gone past his house as we didn't know where the road lead to. We do now, it comes out in front of Cowboy Fellowship and turn right and go straight to our neighborhood. Earlier John was talking to the renter while I sat in the truck by the water tank that holds the household water sipping my coffee. He started calling me to come over there and see what Josie is doing. She was grazing. An exciting event for us as we had not seen her do this before. She is always standing by her Mama, running by her, or nursing. Now if we can see her drink water we would like that. For the ones who have ask about her eventual outcome, she probably will be taken to market at some point, but I'm not thinking about that yet. If I was younger and didn't have health problems and had plenty of money I would like to just keep her for a pet. So that has been our excitement for the day so far plus seeing a cottontail and looking at the renter's two watermelons growing by the rent house front yard. That little rabbit ate the rest of their garden. It's lucky and I'm glad they didn't shoot it.

Josie would make a nice pet... but... the old lady would have shot the bear with the broom, if IF didn't get in the way.

Big thing today, I played with pictures, oh, and I got dressed. ;-)

I am thinking that Josie probably doesn't think she is any different then any other cow!

I say it a lot, but I still mean it. Love to drop by, I always enjoy your tales.
Us? We actually walked out to the Great Salt lake from a parking lot. It was a little over a half mile to the water, and must have seen a hundred dead gulls in different states of deterioration. and STINK! Whoa....
Our excitement. Glad Josie is grazing..

We went to our local dump to drop off some old pieces of furniture and I was trying to take a photo of some vultures and eagles that were taking up posts around it, lol. So, I get why they attracted your attention, lol.

A big hand to Josie. Hope she has found the water and just goes to the edge to drink.

You're not the only one that slows down for buzzards. Just today my husband and I were on the road and I saw 4 of them in someone's yard with their wings all spread out taking in the sun. A few weeks ago we saw one eating on something dead in the middle of the road and I made Don go out of his way so I could get some pics of it lol. I guess its the little things that excite me!
Glad to hear little Josie is doing so well!
