Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

How interesting. What a sweet church.
yeah, rocking the entire thing would have been nice. weird about the a/c units!
Interesting post. By the way, I was visiting you often 'til some health issues popped up and I decided that I should only visit with those that are kind enough to stop by and visit with me...that way, I spend less hours a day sitting at the computer and getting no exercise which I NEED to do.
thanks for stopping by.
I really enjoyed reading this about the church.
I absolutely agree with your opinion. It would look much more balanced and aesthetically pleasing if the right side was covered with sandstone rock.
I love the little church. And I agree there are times a group (Historical) can help. Then other times they are a pain in the back side because "THEY MUST PROVE THEY KNOW BETTER"
I found that to be true about inspectors, they must be smarter, OR THEY WOULD OT BE INSPECTING!
Now in my opinion, Historical is good. A nice plaque saying when it was built and who built it.
It is nice to keep the same construction material if possible.
Good entry and time to think....
Old and new ... we had something similar with the update to our local courthouse and also theater. I don't care for our upgrades to be honest because there is such a contrast.
