Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

A Story Of A Coon Skin Cap
The Runaround Ranch Report lady has a cute entry today about a squirrel and a duck. The way she wrote it reminded me of an incidence that happened a few months ago at church. The secretary arrived to open the church up for Sunday services. As she walked toward the front to see if everything was in order she noticed what she thought was a coon skin cap on the front row. Her nephew and his son cleans the church so she thought the younger of the two must have left his cap when they were cleaning. She was startled to see the cap move so she ran for the door, closed it, and called for back up. I don't know how the raccoon got in but the walls of the old historical building are about a foot thick. It's quiet and peaceful around there most time so why wouldn't wild animals love it?

Oh, dear, I hope the raccoon didn't do any damage.
too cute - and what a surprise!
It is amazing how critters can squeeze thru the smallest of entries and make their way indoors. Hope you were able to vacate it safely without harm to anyone or the critter.
Glad she called for backup. Those animals can have rabies and be vicious. You do not want to mess with them.
Probably saying a prayer.
I agree with Chatty, probably was saying the bed time praYERS and went to sleep as he was doing it. hahaha
That is scary, really. To see something move that is supposed to be inanimate in your mind. LOL
Bless the secretary's heart.
Had to smile at that one!
