Weather Men Can Be Trusted

I've never had much faith in weather men so when the one at noon said rain between Pleasanton and Floresville I said right. We headed out in that direction to buy cattle feed. We got into the heaviest rain, the kind where you can't see what is in front of you and it gets scary. We didn't turn back thinking it would let up soon. It was dry enough to load but got soaked in another down pour on the way home. Oh well rain is always worth it and maybe it will dry out. 50 % chance again tomorrow. We'll take all we can get. We were out at the ranch early and Hopper is not meeting me. I'm afraid something has happened to him/her. We did see lots of cottontails, but Hopper was special. Lots of Jackrabbits and six deer and a flock of turkey.

All of the blogs have finally reappeared on my Blogger Dashboard. I hope that your blog is back to normal, too (it probably won't last.....)

It rained here in West TX for two weeks - - there were storms nearly every day. It was fantastic for all the ranchers and farmers.

Unfortunately, the weeds are so high in my yard that they actually scare me. I think I should get a herd of goats to eat them.

We have been getting rain almost every day, I want to see it stop for a while so we can dry out. Lol. Expecting my Texas Kids this weekend very excited. Take care, Jean

It's been really dry here in Kentucky. We seem to have about one storm every ten days and it rains for about two hours and that's it. We need a nice, long, steady rain!

It rained here in Corpus also...wishing it would rain more...for a month [off and on...not all at once] ---such a great variety of wildlife.

Maybe Hopper is a female?

I hope you get to
see your Hopper, again
I get worried when we
don't see one of our
regular stray cats
our great grandma cat, Tootsie
hasn't visited us in too long
sad

Rain... I think if they see it on radar it's one thing, otherwise, I believe they flip a coin for the forecast.
One can always hope that hopper is in a den somewhere having babies...

You do see a lot of critters don't you. We are supposed to have a lot of rain starting tomorrow and as it has been so often here lately they are tacking on and "some may be severe."

I always enjoy the rain, especially when I am able to be home and listening to it hit the windows and roof. Hate to drive in it though.

I've always loved a good rain storm rolling through, and we've been getting a lot of those soaker rains lately. We really enjoy the rain hitting the old tin roof that was just put on last summer, I think our dog even enjoys the sound, as it seems to lull her to sleep.
