Coy or Billy?

Neither for me, I don't drink beer. Someone had collections for their subject recently and it made me think of some of the collections I've had over the years. Cat what-nots, cat pictures, Avon bottles, maybe more. I collect then and when I get tired of them I get rid of them, as a hoarder I'm not. I used to ride bikes a lot with my girls and when Lynda went away to college and Leah got married and moved to Germany I still rode my bike alone. One day on the street I spotted an aluminum beer can I had never seen before. I stopped to examine it, it was COY. Never seen or heard of that kind of beer. I took the can home and set it on a room divider I was keeping for a relative. Somehow cans just started appearing beside it. One of my husband's relatives who traveled to other states on his job started searching cans out that we didn't have here. I started craving a Billy Beer, the can, not the beer. Someone brought me one. I even had soda cans but always different kinds never two of the same. When my first grandson was big enough to climb he started putting one little finger on one can and pushing until many came tumbling down. Funny to him, not to me so I took them all out to the garage and lined them on a narrow board all around the top of the garage not having any idea what I was saving them for. When I moved out here I needed to rid myself of a lot of "stuff". I had a large carport sale. A man saw the cans through the open garage doors and ask me if they were for sale and how much. In a weak moment I set a low price and he took them all. I offered him my ladder to get them down to gently (I thought) put in plastic bags. Before I knew it he had a long stick and was reaching up and sweeping them all down to the cement floor. Humm I thought If I knew you were going to treat my cans like that I wouldn't have sold them.

Hahahaha, Never heard of the Coy, but I did have a six pack of Billy Beer. I eventually drank mine and saved the cans for a while, don't know what happened to them.
The man had no respect!!!!

Have never heard of Coy or Billy Beer. I would have been irritated with that fella for knocking down your collection like that too.

Have heard of Billy - but not Coy. The guy probably just wanted them for the aluminum - if you had a low price, that is.

I used to enjoy a tall cold one on a really hot day. Has been years though, now a sip makes me tipsy.

I have a couple co-workers that actually create beers. We went to his retirement and he had all kinds, even a chocolate beer. I don't care for beer or drink alcohol, so I took his word for it that it was good, lol.

It's funny [not in an odd way] how collections start. Yours with Coy Beer. Y'wonder what that guy did with his purchase?

Now, I have to go to Google and look up this beer brand. New one to me.

Seems this beer was an import at one time, then brewed in New Orleans.
