I wonder if someone lived in this. I would think someone did, it's too near the road to have been a hunting camp. It looks to have been sturdy in it's day, but small. I lived in some ugly places when I was first married to save money. I hated it at the time but I think it made me a stronger person and to appreciate what I have now.

i hope they had comfort knowing they had shelter and it was theirs. :)
It does look nice and sturdy, I have lived in worse. It is sad that it is not in use now.
We also lived in a few 'tough luck' looking places, but we were happy. The place didn't matter much, we always somehow knew, we would do better. We have been blessed.
On the same line I see something like your picture and think, I could fix that up for one of the GRand kids, but then realize they probably would not live in it. (sad)
Bet it has an interesting history.
Great photo...and I love your sentiments in this post Paula.
It looks like brick and I think most brick houses are charming. It was probably beautiful before it's shameful neglect. Yes, don't you wonder about the people who lived there, what kind of lives they lead, did they just up and move away or did they grow old and die there. It would be interesting to know.
