Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

That's A Switch!
We left at seven thirty this morning to feed the cows. A few blocks down the street I saw something cross the street. That looked like a deer I said to John. Oh no, was probably a goat. When we were even with the spot where I thought I saw it I looked. Plain as day the deer turned to look our way. It had a fairly nice rack of antlers. After feeding the cows we rode around the ranch. Did we see any deer where you would expect to see deer ? Not a one.

stealing from bird feeders, maybe? :)
We saw two white tailed deer the other day....ever so near town. Aren't they beautiful!?!!
Loved your mama cow and newborn in the post below this too, Paula.
We used to see more deer around here, don't see them much lately.
Deer are always plentiful, maybe too plentiful in the Texas Hill Country. It is very common to hit a deer at dawn or dusk when driving. Lots of busy car repair shops!
I love the 'little' surprises. Keeps an anticipation in life.
The Buck is an oddity to be seen now. BUT you guys do have a big population of deer. That is for sure.
I saw a deer crossing the road the other night. I love them. So majestic.
