Piggy Came To Visit

Wild hogs travel in herds, all sizes of them. They liked the ranch last week during the slow soaking rains which made it easy on their ugly snoots. This picture shows only a small portion of the cattle's grass they rooted up. Besides the large damaged area there are numerous small areas. This is the closest they have been to the farm house and near the farm to market road, but it is quiet out there most times with the house vacant.

oh, my! i've never had wild hogs on our property (thank goodness) although they're just down the road a bit in a less-human-populated area. i've had domestic ones, though, and they root plenty, too!

Pauline, where are the coyotes when you need them. Aren't they danger for the pigs?

Yesterday was a great hamburger, today shouls be BBQ HOG!

I have seen the damage in person, and now I can appreciate your pictures more. They do the same in Florida, but the green grass isn't as sparce.

I've heard they can be quite dangerous. I am even leery of the large domestic kind.

That looks like alot of damage to me. I'd be scared to see one up close and personal.
