We cross this street over the river to go to the park the back way. Today we had to park and walk around the barricade to look at the water. I saw on Facebook our police said driving around barricades is a stiff fine and the park will be closed until Monday. It rained all morning since that post. People were even fishing in the street.

fishing in the street made me laugh. :)
I too, smiled about the fishing in the streets. Not funny, hope the water does LOADS of good.
What a novel idea, fishing in the street. I wonder did anybody catch anything?
We ask a couple of teenagers fishing in the street if they caught anything and they said no. Then we ask what kind of fish did they expect to catch. They said they didn't know this was their first time. lol
Too much rain all at once just isn't any fun, especially if you have to go somewhere.
It's raining and thundering here now. Another week of rain. Ugh! I would come your way if it was any different.
Bring my pole too! We've got all that rain going on here too, and loads of night-crawlers/earth worms ready for fishing.
Hard to imagine fishing in the streets in Texas....rain just keeps coming down.
Now seriously, it's nothing to laugh at because of the flooding situation, but fishing...in a street?
Water water everywhere but not a drop to drink. That saying has been running through my mind for the last couple of weeks.
I also read about the train derailment in your previous post...wow.
Just grab your rod n reel and sit in the porch swing - that sounds like fun fishing!
I never thought I'd live to see the day when people were fishing in the street in Texas!

Lovely post in blog.Greeting from Belgium
I can't believe you are getting so much rain! Seems like ever since I've followed your blog, it has always been dry, with the burning off cactus and so forth.
