If we wanted to find this gate again we couldn't. We started out driving where we've driven several times but somehow we ended up where we've never been before. I didn't think there could be a country road in this area that we haven't traveled. There were no roads to turn on and no houses to stop to ask where we were. I think a lot of the area was all one very large ranch. John says he isn't going on any road that is not paved again. We made a very large circle to finally come to an intersection where we were familiar.

I have done a lot of driving on country roads here in East Texas. At first I was a little wary but I have found that all roads lead somewhere!
That is a beautiful gate for a country road. It must be a huge ranch. I hope you had a very nice Mother's Day.
nice one! there are tons of roads in this area i've never been on...
It does look as if it's the gate to a prestigious ranch.
It sorta looks like money! (smile) More power to the Rancher!
I think I would like that.
PS:
Happy Mother's day again. YOu were/are a sweet mama I would BET!
We are a bit timid about following unpaved roads, too. You never know where you'll end up. Some interesting spots, indeed. Hope you had a nice Mother's Day.
I enjoy riding on the back roads. There is always something interesting to see. I love this pretty entrance and fence. Have a happy day!
This is a great shot and nice fence. We do the same thing finding country roads and taking an adventure where we haven't yet traveled. In my area of Texas there is always a new road to drive but sometime we are careful. You never know where it will lead!!
Have a great day!

If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there!
Lovely fence.

Sometimes accidents like not knowing where you are going produce great finds like this cool looking gate. I wonder what the symbols on it stand for.
Glad your hubby went down this road ans shared this nice scene with us.
Awesome gateway!
What an awesome gate! Bound to go somewhere that's peaceful and wonderful!
Grand gate, fence and entrance. For me that would have made the drive worthwhile.
