Old Pony Farm

Last Monday we spent several hours at what used to be a pony farm. This barn is being repaired inside and will be prepared on the outside and have a couple of coats of barn red paint layered on. The pony leg is no longer missing so it can be put in it's proper place. Next to add just the right weather vane. A rooster perhaps?

So happy that they are refurbishing this, as it's bones are probably very strong.

You said "used to be", what will it be in its next life?

Cool, very cool.

How charming. Glad the horse is being restored. Weather vanes are interesting, indeed.

There are so few wooden barns anymore in Texas so I'm glad someone is taking care of this one. I hope you will send us a follo9w-up photo when all the repairs are finished!

Love the fact it's being repaired to its original glory. So many times, the dilapidated barns can be an eye sore. Hope you keep us updated as it progresses to the finish.

Restoration of old buildings is always exciting. I've always driven the back roads when I travel so I can take pictures of barns. Be sure to show us this one when it's finished.

The projects just never seem to end, but isn't it nice bringing things back to life. I love it.

I like the barn and the only weather vanes I remember seeing had roosters on them. I enjoy browsing your journal.
