Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

Weather
We were sleeping good early this morning, not knowing some twenty five miles away were going through a scary time in Floresville, Texas. Lots of damage from what they are fairly sure was a tornado and not straight line winds. We saw a lot of damage on TV but the blessing is, no one was hurt. Just things like an RV on top of a three story motel, the roof off the school and household items and tin everywhere. Thank you Lord for the beautiful rain and bless the people who have lots of damage to repair.

sorry to hear that. i just got up and we've had mostly soft rains here, too.
The damage is terrible, glad no lose of life. BUT as you say, rain is good! WE certainly need it in Florida and back in NC.
Scary but glad people are ok....
In the Hill Country, we have had just the right amount of rain, not the floods and damage some have had. Watching the weather on TV is almost unbelievable that just 50 miles east, there are floods and damage. Have a great weekend.
Happy to read all are safe Paula. The tornado worry me, when my Son lives in Texas.Take Care God Bless xx
Wow, glad you weren't close!
I heard about Floresville while on my trip to Arizona. I was sorry to hear about and see all that damage. I hope the courthouse is okay!
Many times we are at the mercy of the weather. I'm glad it missed
you but sorry for the folks it hit. I grew up in tornado country and
we had storm cellars scattered around the property. As a kid I
recall spending a lot of time sitting in one, waiting for a storm to pass.
It gives one a healthy respect of Mother Nature.
I'm glad it wasn't bad in your area and that you got some rain. It's a shame that sometimes we get the needed rain but have damaging storms to go along with it.
Yes, it definitely has been a year in Texas for rainstorms and flooding damage. As you said, luckily, few lives lost in the last weeks or two.
LOVE John's name for his new kitty..."Cat".
I heard a little bitty bleep about the tornado but never did hear the details...
Glad you all are ok.
I heard ab out the damage in Floresville while I was in Arizona. Of course my thoughts immediately went to the courthouse which is under renovation!
Sounds to me like you've got a new cat!
