Fightin' Clothes

Remember Kenneth's cow, the one due to have a calf? She disappeared and we had given up on her. Thinking she had trouble giving birth and maybe died in the process. This morning John said she showed up with the herd, but no calf. He said she let him know she had her fightin' clothes and he said he knew he didn't have his fightin' clothes. He said she  looked as if a calf had nursed. So she probably has it hid still. Kenneth's cow has her own personality. It took her a long time to locate (settle in) to this ranch, but she did. Now she is acting wild again so John let her alone. She will show us her baby when she gets good and ready so we will give her space.

I am so glad to hear this, I know John is also, whether he is ready to fight or not. HA! I hope the calf is okay, will be awaiting a report. ;-)

Glad he has seen that goofy cow, but is better his than mine, I think I would be hauling her off for all the trouble she is.

Have a Merry Christmas or whatever!

I'm so glad she showed up and maybe next time she will bring her baby. It's been cooler here the past few days, but I thing we will have a warm Christmas. Take care. Jean

Awesome, that is great news.

We had two heifers jump the fence and go on an adventure. We found them the next day and somebody turned them in on 500 acres with some other cows. Took us a few hours but we got a hold of the land owner and he said since one of the heifers wasn't bred to leave them there. Awesome. So now my two girls will both be bred. Landowner said he'd call us when they did the next round up and they had the girls penned up. I was so thankful. I told him I could get them with a grain bucket but he said not to worry that two more weren't going to be a problem.

Jan 1 - Happy New Year, Pauline. I hope your back is better. I finally made the move from Texas to Arizona. I miss Texas but I'm lovin' Arizona.
