Demanding Little Fellow

John gave this calf special attention when it was young. Now he is so spoiled I have to be very careful around him. When he sees us he wants his head scratched. If we don't, he will untie our shoes or butt us hard. I wouldn't want him to be behind me when I'm near the stock tank or I would find myself in the water. I have seldom been afraid of any of John's cows or even large bulls. If they misbehave one time too many they are history at his place. The cattle auction isn't too far away. All of his cattle are calm and tame except this new kid on the ranch. John's daughter-in- law had set her sights on him, but she is having second thoughts.

It's bad when they don't realize they are bigger or they could hurt you; suddenly what was funny & cute when they were young can be intimidating or even dangerous.

I smiled when I started to comment and the title of your last post showed up "I LIKE BIRDS", I thought, this time it could have been "I don't like Butts' but, but that would have been too suggestive. hahahahaha

It is amazing how the unlearned folk like me, will try to pet the wrong guy and get in trouble. When we hiked the AT, the trail went thru many pastures, usually the horses or cattle ignored us but on occasion I could not help myself I would try to pet. After a couple mistakes, I tried to just walk on by. HA!
Yeah you are wise to not put you back the new kid near the stock tank. ;-O!

They do crave the attention, don't they? Poor, love-starved babies. :-)

So, of course, he is exactly the one I'd like to kiss on the head as well as give a good scratch....
