I Knew There Had To Be A Catch

John took me out to eat a breakfast of pancakes and bacon and coffee. When we got home he wanted me to drive him to the truck tire place in the next town over after he aired up a flat tire. I ask, are you sure it will make it there without going flat. Oh yes he says, famous last words. I hate driving his work truck anyway because it has been hit on the side twice and not fixed. Who always drives it now and who do they think did these boo boos? At least they give me a wide berth thinking I'm a wild old driving woman. We did get to the next town over and the truck starts bump, bump, bump. Do you want me to pull over I ask? No keep driving slow to the tire shop. I do, with cars backing up behind me and cussing me, I'm sure. When I pull in to the shop a cute cow dog came out to greet us. Sniffs the tires all around and walks off as if to say. Impossible! Of course they have to order the tire and it won't be in until next Tuesday. After John and the man are inside for a while John comes out and says lets go. What am I going to drive on, I ask? Oh you had a spare? Well wonder of wonder. We limp home slowly, slowly, the back way.

I hate getting a line behind me! Even in the motor home it bothers me. In out last Motor home that happened a lot in the mountains. But this one clicks right along.

You are brave lady, I don't care for riding along knowing one tire is 'going flat', keeps me on edge too!

Ahhh, but the excitement! :-(
