Prayers for Sutherland Springs, Texas

We were in our own church Sunday when the terrible shooting happened. We don't watch much news on Sunday so we didn't know anything about it until nighttime. We've been in shock because it isn't that far from us and some of the kids attended school at Floresville which is the first town east of us and we were just there a few weeks ago. We've been numb and in shock and coming to the conclusion we aren't really safe anywhere. We can't run and hide so we will go on as usual. We do pray for all those involved, even the shooters family.

What an unbelievably horrible tragedy. It is almost impossible to think this happened in a small church and a rural community. I'm sure nobody there will ever be the same again.

My heartfelt prayers and sympathy go out to the innocent victims of this act of insanity.

You have a big heart the size of Texas Paula! I thought of you both knowing the closeness of area.

You are right, not safe anywhere. You would think a church would be, no more. Too many sick minds out there.

I sure do understand what you are saying there - and I had no idea how close you were. Just innocent people spending time with God. SO sad - prayers to everyone. sandie

Somehow it hits harder when it happens close to home.

Indeed. We must carry on and not be intimidated or divided through fear...

I can't imagine. That community so small, you know everyone there must be hurting, had to have lost someone.
