Stopped To Take This Picture Yesterday

It is very near the house where I saw the first bathroom I had ever seen. Also the first Band Aid I had ever seen. Was I impressed! There was a small store in the area and that is where people got their mail. I was born down the road in 1936 in Rossville, Texas.

Real bathrooms were quite special, starting with the economy version makes a person thankful for even the cruddiest modern bathroom. :-)

We had a bathroom when I was 4 or 5. Dad dug a septic tank out in the country. It is a larger community now. I wish I could remember the first band aid. I do remember small gauze and the white tape mama used. You bring up some good ones!Sherry just told me it was called 'Adhesive tape'. I think I always said white tape as apposed to the old sticky black tape.

You have the best memory - to remember the band-aide. I have always had a bathroom - sorry!

is that an abandoned house Paula?

did you look inside?

Yes it is an abandoned house. There are so many of those in our area. I always thought any building on a place makes the taxes higher. Seems they would tear them down but what do I know about it. No I did not look inside, I never go on private property to take my pictures. As always thinks for your comment.

That's a sweet little house. I wish someone could renovate it and make it livable again, but it would undoubtedly cost too much.

I sure remember those old Band Aids that used to stick to your skin like glue. They were almost impossible to take off.
