Tea Anyone?

I've never been a tea drinker, hot tea that is. I like iced tea but hate hot tea but I happened on Dandelion Tea. It doesn't taste good to me either. I have to drown it with honey to drink it. You may ask then why drink it? It is supposed to be good for what ails you. Some of you probably know I have a blood disease and at times I don't feel as well as I would like to. I tried drinking a whole mug of Dandelion tea for four days. The fourth day I felt so good I felt as if I am well. Didn't even need a nap like I usually do. This is great I thought. I can live with one mug of hot tea a day to feel like this even if I don't like it. I didn't only not need a nap I didn't need a wink of sleep all night and I wasn't even tired or sleepy. I don't know about this, I thought, I like my sleep. Next day still didn't need a nap but that day I didn't think I needed a mug of hot tea either. Soon I'm going to try it again but make sure I drink it early in the morning and maybe try only half a mug to see how that works out. I want to hit on a happy medium to feel good but get plenty of sleep too. Have any of you drank Dandelion Tea or know anyone who has and how did it affect them?

I would love to see what a half a cup of it does for you - are you saying it has an effect to keep you from sleeping at night? That would be hard. Where did you get it? Health food store?

It really sounds perfectly awful.... I will stick with my black tea or green tea. Love your header.

Yes Chatty I bought it at he health food store. A lady at church said she thought Dandelion is poisen but I'm sure the Health Food store would not sell poisen.

Thank you Linda Kay' I don't like green tea or any kind hot but Am willing to try something to be better. A blood disease is no laughing matter.

I do know friend Lisa was spouting the praises of the 'dandelion' tea the other day. Imma tell you We do drink cold and hot tea. I have never noticed it doing anything, but I drink gallons of green tea. If it makes me live forever it is doing a good job so far!!! LOL

I have no doubt there are natural herbs and plants that can assist out bodies. And it is for sure the honey doesn't hurt@!

Keep up the experimenting until you find that happy medium..

I have had dandelion tea and dandelion wine, but it was a long time ago for both. I remembered I liked them -- especially the wine! But I don't remember either one affecting in any particular way. Goldenrod tea is supposed to be good for what ails you, too, and I remember that I really like the taste the one time I had some.
