There Are Still Nice People

I was just reading Mosie's (Donna) blog "Just Me" about dreaming of winning the lottery. I was thinking of this very thing late yesterday. I've said here before John and I belong to Senior Circle and one of the benefits is eating at our hospital cafeteria at a good discount. We've been told by a few this is gross to want to eat at a hospital. Most of the food is good and it is so handy right down the highway from where we live, plus I don't like to cook anymore and John doesn't like to pay for groceries. lol So what does this have to do with the lottery? I was thinking I wish I would win the lottery and I could take all the girls that work at the cafeteria out to a really nice place to eat. I mean all the trimmings and service they could want. These girls are all nice to us but there is one new one named Amy who goes all out and treats us as if we are her grandparents. She will go and get a pitcher of water and put it out so we don't have to buy bottled water. She will say if you need anything just let me know. She was friendly from the start and is always working, never slacking with a smile on her face. I don't think it would be right to give just her something and there are too many to buy for all but if I could win the lottery I could do it up right without a strain on my pocketbook. Someone from John's hometown near where his cows are did win the lottery a few years back. I had heard the man lost it all and commited suicide. Isn't that sad when he could have done so much good?

This post just shows what a nice, kind person you are, Paula. I never dream of winning the lottery. Someone told me you have to play to win!!! LOL
Have a good day, my new friend.

If I won the lottery I would share with my kids, buy everything we have always wanted , move away from the neighbors to a secluded place with no one near, track my kid in Texas down and make him face me , and then give the rest to needy people, but I never ever have believed we would win the lottery.

PAULA, THAT ONE SPECIAL GIRL WILL HAVE HER REWARD AND YOUR FRIENDSHIP TOO.
IT IS A PLEASURE TO HAVE FRIENDS LIKE HER.

I QUIT GAMBLING YEARS AGO, DECIDING TO PUT MONEY IN THE SUNDAY CHURCH COLLECTION AND NOW IN THE SHORT ROWS OF LIFE FEEL LIKE OUR LORD HAS SMILED DOWN AT ME WITH GOOD BLESSINGS.

NOTHING LARGE THOUGH SO MANY SMALL THINGS THAT HAVE PRODUCED INDEPENDENCE, THANKING GOD EVERY DAY FOR WHAT I HAVE. NO GAMBLING.

NO SELF RIGHTEOUS FEELING BECAUSE OF NOT GAMBLING, AND WOULD BE HAPPY FOR YOU FOR WINNING THE LOTTERY.

I've had some good meals in hospital cafeterias. I think that would be a wonderful way to thank those nice workers, taking them out to eat. And if you won the lottery, you could take them to the fanciest, best place you know of!
