Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

The Lost Has Been Found
We left the house at 7:30 A.M. to look for Ginger and her pal. We wanted to try to beat the heat. We looked everywhere and they were no where to be found. I had a vision of them crossing the border already into Mexico. It isn't safe over there for humans. I can imagine what they would do to two cows. We finally spotted two cows in the distance almost covered with tall sunflowers in a field. We stopped and John aimed the binoculars at them but couldn't tell for sure so he called Ginger! Ginger! No response. Well I wasn't expecting her to yell back but thought she would come to us if it was her. So thinking she was raised mostly by a woman I got out to yell her name. That didn't work either so we drove around and down the fence line to where the two cows were happily grazing. It was them but, Ginger didn't give us the time of day. The pal did raise her head and look at us. John wanted me to get out and see if she would let me pet her. The grass was tall and damp and I had on my most comfortable shoes and didn't want to get them wet. After being raised on five acres I guess they are enjoying their freedom and trying the grass on all parts of the land. I don't think they are going to be pets any longer. They are staying near the herd but close to each other. It will be interesting when they both are with calf and then give birth. I think they will still be close friends and raise thier calves together.

now that was cool
I think that's neat. They were neighbors, and now their pasture-mates. The way you write about them I picture two gossipy old ladies.
Sounds as though she likes the friend better than you. She found out what true love is or they are preparing for it.
They're acting more and more like Paris and Nicole!
Enjoy
I guess they are satisfied to roam the range, as you said they have been penned up, of course five acres ain't really a jail cell.
Glad they didn't cross the border, they would be on taco's by now. Of course crossing the border may be hard, can you cross that direction anymore, or is it all 'one-way' coming this way?
Cows have BFFs. Who knew?
Glad they turned up okay. Guess they are busy exploring their new home...take care, Sheila
Home, home on the range, where dear Ginger and her pal love to play....glad you found them. They are loving their freedom and you.
