No News Is Not Always Good News

I feel like this little gold fish. All closed in a tight spot in the afternoons. It is sooo hot even though it hasn't reached 100 degrees. The humidity is so high it makes if feel hotter. The cows, turtles, and renters are all behaving so I have nothing to write about. The cows are hogging the shade from every little tree. The turtles are staying in the mud until I call and call a few will come to eat dragging the green slime on their backs. The renters have six window air conditioners going full blast. You would think I would spend time on the computer but I take looong naps with an a/c blowing to my side and a ceiling fan above. John's daughter is driving the tractor dragging a heavy iron bar knocking down the sunflowers because that is what the landlords want. Its hot and dry and they sap the moisture from the green grass. I know I have said that before. The tractor is not a modern one with a/c, just a top over it. When she sweats and the breeze hits her as she moves it is fairly cool at times. we have to be thankful the heat and lack of rain has just started and fall is right around the corner even though it can be hot here in fall and probably will be.

Don't want to make you mad, but it is 67 degrees here. But I am not rushing to beat Dar, but she made you corn salad this evening and it was delicious. You would love Dar and Mel they are great ladies. Tough as you would expect but sweet as honey! Great hubbies too, we really enjoyed our visit, you were mentioned several times, I know it is hard to believe, but it was all good! hahahaha!

As Jack mentioned, Paula, I made your Corn Salad and it WAS delicious. We had it with Roasted Potatoes and Pork. And he's right, you were part of our conversation often. Someday, we would love to meet you and John.
The cowboy writing your name, Sy says, "Grandma, That's actually Woody from Toy Story." Who knew!
Stay cool and BlessYourHearts

Paula there is the picture of our bug vacum on the sidebar. The top 2. They look weird and I hope no one thinks I am posting nasty pictures on my blog. It works on a battery and I split them up into 2.

Hi Paula, just stopping by to check in on you. I hope you're well, and that autumn gets here soon. Take good care of yourself.

The cool weather went away with Jack and Sherry. We're back to hot and muggy. Now we're waiting on my sister and her hubby from Ft Worth to show up some time tomorrow. They'll be staying for a couple weeks and be here for the wedding this coming weekend. I'll try my darnest to send some cooler weather back with her! Stay in the shade if you're outside and in the AC inside. Keep cool as always... fall is fast around the corner.

It's the same here, Paula. I can sympathize. If I have to go out, I try to do it in the morning before the bad heat hits.
