Which Season?

In October of 1993 we were having strange weather as if Mother Nature couldn't make up her mind what she wanted to give us. You know how women are about changing their mind so I wrote this:

Winter came in with whistles and howls. Pecans and leaves fell side by side like pals.

Snowflakes whirling, what a surprise, gaining momentum as they doubled in size.

Later the sun came on out as usual. A dreary day was Mother Nature's refusal.

Its beautiful outside on this October day. If the weather holds true to normal the wind will lay.

Soon it will go back to our usual weather. The wind will blow low and soft as a feather.

The sun will beat down, no snowflakes in range, but just wait a minute our weather will change.

Definitely strange weather here in NY. A few days ago it was in the upper 70's. Now it's freezing and the wind goes right through you. I'm like a little kid waiting for the snow. (Hugs)Indigo

Nice poem ... almost makes me yearn for a climate with more variety. Almost ... but not quite!
Best,

I love your poem! Yes ~ Ma Nature sure does have a hard time some days about making up her mind.

Did you see the one on my blog about the weather in Wisconsin? It's on the sidebar.

I like that. Sounds like our weather this time of year.
