The Things You Hear Senior Citzens Say

Recently John and I were sitting in a waiting area with other senior citizens waiting for the discount hour at a steak buffet. A couple came in and sat next to us. We thought there were married, they looked married. Then the man told us he lives on the north side and she lives there on the south side and they go to the steak buffet almost evryday. Then the lady got up to go get their favorite table while he waited for time to pay. In talking to John he misunderstood something John said and thought he said something about married. He said I wish I was married, She keeps forgetting to call the Priest. Duh! I'm thinking man don't you think if she really wanted to get married she would remember to call the Priest. In the meantime think of how many free steak buffets she is getting without having to clean up after you.

Could that be another version of 'buying the cow, when you can get the milk for free, why call the priest when you can get the steak for free...ha. Love your stories, Sheila

Free steak. No domestic chores. Sounds like a well thought out plan on her part. ~Mary
