What? That Was An Earthquake?

When I was still in bed this morning stretched out on my back I felt what seemed like when a fat cat jumps on the foot of my bed. Susie is an outside cat. Surely she didn't run in when John opened the door. Susie doesn't do things like that. I raised up to look at the foot of my bed to see what was there. Nothing, nil, zero. So I looked down beside the bed and there was nothing there. What was that? Not my imagination? After a while I got up and went to the living room where John was watching TV. There has been an earthquake he said so we sat and watched the news people saying how their phones had lit up and they started interviewing people. Some didn't feel a thing, some said furniture moved. Some blamed the oil drilling but a supposedly expert says that is not to blame.Oh well I got four phone calls out of it. Both my daughters called, an old friend from Widowed Person's Sevices, and a tenant that I was landlady to back in the 70's. I guess they were all imagining me down in a deep crack with my voice echoing "help". So it was nice a few did care but it didn't actually happen here it was closer to where we go buy the cattle feed. It was an exciting morning to say the least.

I am glad you did not get swallowed up by Earth.
We have had very light earthquakes, but I have never felt one...don't necessarily want to either...haa

Well at least it turned out not to be your imagination...That one back in August in Virginia, my husband felt it at work and my daughter felt it at college, but I didn't feel a thing. Have a great weekend, Sheila

Texas has been getting an unnerving amount of earthquakes lately. There were several recent ones near the Lubbock area.
Oh well, look at the bright side - - at least it was an earthquake and not a ghost......(Jon)

I heard there was one in Texas and there was also a 4.2 near San Francisco which was strange because today was "The Great Shake Out" here in California. It is a day that our state "practices" for a big earthquake.

"One never knows, does one?" My oldest brother was known to say when something unexplainable happened and someone else denied it was their fault. I hope it was not that frackin' bunch.
WELL? I mean well, you need the excitement and phone calls.!!!

Love sent from across the gulf,

I guess we're a little too far away to have felt it but we heard about it on the news. I'm glad that the earth didn't swallow you up!

Yes, heard about your earthquake. I was glad we here in East Texas weren't involved. I'm curious. Who is John? He is an important person in your blog, but for the life of me, I can't decide if he's your husband, your son, a friend, or just what! If I'm not supposed to know, then so be it!
