Happy Cows

My goodness the cows were happy this morning. When we drove down the lane they were grazing in the front field. As we drove down the lane they started running and kicking up their back legs like they were feeling sooo good. It is very wet out there. John is like a teenager in taking chances driving. We went, or I should say slid over the muddy tank dam. I thought sure we were going to go into the stock tank. The truck was sideways part of the way across. I held on tight and closed my eyes. I think he likes to scare me. We looked for his son's cow who is visiting John's bull. We didn't find her anywhere and when we slid back over the dam she was right there with the herd. Guess she has finally located. John put out feed in the bath tubs he uses for feeders then we went in to town for a breakfast taco and coffee. Ummm bean and cheese in fresh home made tortillias with chopped onions on the side and hot sauce. Remember Chili Bandera where we used to stop for our tacos to have for breakfast on the tank dam? It burned some months ago. It is almost ready to reopen. The owners I guess have been doing the work themselves as it has taken a long time but they have completely remodeled it and it is looking nice as we pass by. These people worked so hard getting it opened and then lost their son in an auto accident on his way to work there and then the business burned and they think it was arson. We wish this hard working family the best and we will be their faithful customers again. I bet the pretty lady at the drive-thru window still remembers our order. Three bean and cheese tacos with chopped onions on the side and mild red hot sauce and one cup of coffee with two creams.

We are looking forward to the San Antonio area when we can. We want to get a breakfast taco. Hope the Bandero place is open.

There doesn't seem to be enough time in a year to do everything!!!!

Glad you have Happy Cows.

I can just picture those cows throwing caution to the wind and running and kicking up their legs in the field. HAPPY COWS, indeed. ENJOY your tacos when your favorite place reopens. Take care.
