Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

It Felt Strange Sitting In The Sheriff's Office
Me in trouble? No but I bet the lady I saw there that I met recently wondered what I was there for. On the other hand I wondered what she was there for too. John went there to ask a deputy to patrol the ranch area because of the missing calf. I waited in the hot truck until John came out to ask if I wanted to come in since he was going to have a wait. The deputy was nice and helpful and has promised to make himself seen around that area. We made two trips out, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. John was looking for a baby calf in the tall grass and scared up a wild turkey hen sitting on her eggs. He said there looked to be ten or twelve eggs. This afternoon he wanted to take me to walk out into that grass to see them. I said no thank you, I will take your word for it. I've had quite enough chigger bites. Remember my favorite cow Shelly Marie who is no longer with us? We saw her granddaughter today and she will be having a calf soon. Wow! Four generations of Shelly Marie.

hoping the sheriff's presence will intimidate anyone who might be rustling.
I'm with you, one trip full of chiggers should be enough for anyone. good idea for the law to be seen around, I like that.
Nice to think of Shelly Marie. I even got to liking her!!!
I agree I hope that the polices influence there will help too. sandie
I would have looked on the walls to see if they had a picture of me. I would liked to have seen the turkey nest.
