We Avoided The Strawberry Festival

WE did but now I wish I had some cake with strawberries and whipped cream. When we go to our country historical church we have to skirt along Poteet, Texas, the strawberry capital of Texas. This weekend was their festival and the little town becomes over run with traffic so we went the back roads. Took us a little longer but you know how I love those back roads. There was only eleven people at church compared to 60 for Easter service last sunday. On the way back we took a different country road so I missed taking a picture of a windmill with a dead vine that had grown all the way to the top. I did get to take a picture of a big oak tree in the middle of the road. Bet the man working in the field wondered what that crazy lady saw  to take a picture of.

Oh no. You went and made me HUNGRY. Strawberry shortcake sounds so-ooo GOOD. That windmill is interesting. Would be worth a picture for sure. But a tree in the middle of the road/ I'd have to see it to believe it. LOL Take care.

OK, so now I suppose I will have to pull out some frozen strawberries, sugar the heck out of them and drool while waiting for them to thaw...it's alright tho, strawberries are always worth the wait. It's snowing here, on and off, today, so none from the garden until late May...
Love your cow header, and the cactus blooms. Isn't it great when colors pop out atcha...even if it's a tree...there's beauty everywhere.

I love the old windmills. I got a good picture of one somewhere out in Oklahoma. I will show it soon.
The tree in the middle of the road sounds like something very interesting. You could make a child's story out of that one... I bet you could. Take care Paula and have a good time on the back roads. I love the back roads too!
